The Coorong

With William studying Colin Thiele’s book at school we thought we had better take him to see the real thing.  So off we went to the Goolwa Barrages with its local seals before walking across the dunes to the sea.  Finally, we headed before across onto Hindmarsh Island to see the mouth of the Murray with its wetlands and birds.

Again . . . this time at Wellington

Winter Escape

First stop in South Australia on a winter holiday break – Loxton, and the muddy Murray.  Glorious weather, appreciated all the more because of what we have left behind.

Not quite swimming weather, but pleasant enough on “the beach”
